SEVENTH VOID: 'Heaven Is Gone' Video Released
April 22, 2009"Heaven Is Gone", the new video from SEVENTH VOID, the band featuring TYPE O NEGATIVE guitarist Kenny Hickey and drummer Johnny Kelly, can be viewed at TuneLab Music.
"Heaven Is Gone" is the title track of SEVENTH VOID's debut album, which was released yesterday (Tuesday, April 21) via Big Vin Records, the label formed by HELLYEAH/ex-PANTERA drummer Vinnie Paul Abbott. A CD-release party was held last night at the Clubhouse, the Dallas nightclub founded by Vinnie Paul and his late brother, PANTERA guitarist "Dimebag" Darrell Abbott. "It's an amazing record," Vinnie recently said. "I mixed the whole thing for the guys. It goes somehere between SOUNDGARDEN meets BLACK SABBATH meets a little AUDIOSLAVE, with some TYPE O thrown in there. It's really nice, dark, sludgy… Kenny's vocals are great."
SEVENTH VOID has scheduled the following meet-and-greet sessions and in-store appearances:
April 25 - Newbury Comics - Norwood, MA (at 4:00 p.m.) (autograph session + performance)
April 26 - Duff's Brooklyn - Williamsburg, NY (8:00 p.m.) (meet-and-greet/listening party)
April 27 - Vintage Vinyl - Fords, NJ (autograph session)
Rounded out by bassist Hank Hell (INHUMAN) and guitarist Matt Brown (ex-SUPERMASSIV),SEVENTH VOID continues TYPE O's tradition of slow, heavy riffs and existential lyrics, but with a slightly sludgier, "stonier" flavor.
SEVENTH VOID will support STATIC-X on a number of shows in May.
